Welcome to the Loch Lochy Youth Hostel
Welcome to the website of the Loch Lochy Youth Hostel. On this site you will find information about the hostel, Youth Hostelling in general and the local area.
The Hostel is located in the Great Glen, an ancient fault line which divides Scotland in two. The Great Glen contains three Lochs - Loch Lochy, Loch Oich, and most famously, Loch Ness.
The town of Fort William is twenty miles to the South of the Hostel, while Inverness, the capital of the Highlands, is 40 miles to the north.
The hostel is just minutes away from the Great Glen Cycle Route and the Great Glen Way - long-distance routes running between Fort William and Inverness - or if you prefer to paddle or sail, the Caledonian Canal passes close by.
